1. What this site is
An experiment in entertainment and research. We turn public crypto posts on X into two virtual portfolios, one for the men on our panel and one for the women, and compare them with each other, with Bitcoin, with a top-10 index and with well-known pundits. The portfolios are virtual: no real money is invested, and the results ignore fees, slippage and taxes.
2. Not financial advice
Nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put in. Past results, real or backtested, say nothing reliable about the future. Make your own decisions, and talk to a licensed adviser if you need advice.
3. Accuracy
The results come from automated steps that can be wrong:
- Posts come from X, and an AI model reads them for coin calls. It can misread jokes or sarcasm.
- Prices come from CoinGecko and decentralised-exchange data. Small coins can be matched to the wrong token or show glitches.
- The panel is small, so results can swing on a few people.
We publish our method and fix mistakes when we find them, but we don't guarantee that anything on the site is complete, accurate or up to date.
4. No affiliation
We're not affiliated with or endorsed by X, any coin or project, or any person named in the pundits section. Pundits are well-known public figures. We describe their public calls and link to their own posts as commentary. Coin names and logos belong to their owners.
5. Links to exchanges
Coin pages list exchanges where each coin trades, busiest first by trading volume on CoinGecko, or the decentralised exchange its token trades on. Some may be referral links, marked ★: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission. That never changes the order or what we say about a coin.
A listing isn't an endorsement of the exchange or the coin. We don't check exchanges, and their services may not be available or allowed where you live. Small tokens on decentralised exchanges carry extra risk, including scams. Checking all of this is up to you.
6. Joining the panel
- You must be 18 or older and own the X account you sign up with.
- Everyone is screened by the same published panel rules, and the panel is picked by random draw. Signing up doesn't guarantee a seat, and we may decline or remove any account that doesn't meet the rules.
- Your posts stay yours and stay public on X. We use them as described in the privacy policy, and you can opt out at any time.
7. Fair use of the site
Don't sign up accounts you don't own. Don't flood the join or opt-out forms. Don't try to identify panel members or break into the site. We may block anyone who does.
8. Our liability
The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything on it, including trading losses.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. Questions: hello@probablyfine.ae.
