Privacy
We, Probably Fine Holding LLC FZ, read public crypto posts on X from a panel of men and women, turn each side's calls into a virtual portfolio, and publish how the two portfolios do. Only group results are published. This page explains what we collect to do that, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop.
The short version
- We only use posts that are already public on X, and we never name panel members on the site.
- Anyone whose X account we track can opt out from the site, whether they volunteered or not. We then delete what we hold on them.
- Visitors: no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no ads.
1. People whose public posts we read
This covers panel members found by search, candidates we screened, and the famous accounts in "the crowd vs the pundits".
What we collect, all from X's official API:
- Your X handle and account ID.
- Profile details at the time we screen you: follower count, account age, your bio, and up to 20 recent posts. We read these once to check the panel rules.
- If you're on the panel: the short quote in which you describe yourself as a man or a woman. We only use self-descriptions; we never guess gender from a name, photo or interests.
- Your public posts during the tracking period (text and time), and what we read from them: which coins you mention, whether you sound bullish or bearish, and how strongly.
Why: to build the two group portfolios, the group statistics and the screening that keeps the panel fair. Our basis is legitimate interest in research and commentary on public crypto discussion, balanced by keeping individuals anonymous and letting anyone opt out.
What's published: group results only. No panel member's name, handle or posts appear on the site; where we describe moves, it's as "2 of 7 women". The exception is the pundits, on the main page and on coin pages. We name these well-known public figures, count their coin calls and link their own public posts.
If we screened you and you weren't picked: we keep your handle and the reason (for example "under 2,000 followers") so we don't read your account again. Opting out deletes this too.
2. Volunteers who join on the site
When you join, we store your X handle and the side you declare. We also store the version and date of the consent you gave, your one-time code, and when you tried to verify it. To verify, we run one X search for your code post. You then go through the same panel rules as everyone else. Our basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by opting out.
3. Visitors
- No accounts, cookies, analytics, ads or tracking pixels.
- Your browser remembers the look you picked (paper or DOS) in its own storage. It never leaves your device.
- Our host, Fly.io, keeps standard server logs for security and debugging, for a limited time. These record your IP address, the time, the page you asked for and your browser type.
- Your browser also contacts two other services when the page loads, and both see your IP address. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, and CoinGecko (which also runs GeckoTerminal) supplies the live prices in the ticker and the coin logos on coin pages.
- Coin pages link out to exchanges where a coin trades. If you follow one, that exchange's own privacy policy applies. A referral link (marked ★) also tells the exchange you came from us.
4. Who else handles the data
- X is where the posts come from. We access them through X's developer API under X's terms.
- Anthropic runs Claude, the AI model that reads post text to find coin calls and screens accounts against the panel rules. We send it the post text and bio only, under Anthropic's commercial terms.
- CoinGecko and GeckoTerminal supply coin prices. We send them coin names, never personal data.
- Fly.io hosts the site and the join and opt-out list (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
We don't sell or share personal data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Posts and what we read from them: while the tracking runs, so the published results can be rebuilt and checked.
- Volunteer records: until you opt out.
- After an opt-out, we delete your posts, what we read from them, and your rows in our candidate and panel lists, screening notes, backups, logs and reports. We do this within 2 days. Only your handle and the opt-out date stay, on an opt-out list, so we never read that account again.
6. Opting out and your other rights
To opt out, go to the join box, choose "Opt out", and post the one-time code it gives you from the account. Posting from the account is how we know the request comes from its owner. It works whether you volunteered or not, and you can delete the post afterwards.
You can also email hello@probablyfine.ae to ask what we hold on you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection authority, including the UAE Data Office.
7. Age
The panel is for adults. We don't knowingly track anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Where it's processed
The data is processed on our own computer in the United Arab Emirates, on Fly.io servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and by X and Anthropic in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what volunteers agreed to, we'll ask them again before it applies to them.
